Welcome to Dorchester Arts Forum

What is the Dorchester Arts Forum?
The Forum encourages the provision, facilitation and joint promotion of the Arts in Dorchester.
It is a consultative body representing arts practitioners, promoters and venue managers, committed to raising awareness of the importance of the Arts in the Dorchester area and improving levels of support.

On a practical level, the Forum owns a range of equipment available for hire to members and not for profit organisations. The equipment is managed by staff at Dorchester Arts Centre.

How to Join

There are two types of DAF membership:
Organisation
If you are a non-profit-making arts organisation with a constitution in Dorchester or the surrounding area, you are eligible to join the Dorchester Arts Forum.
Individual
If you are an artist, arts promoter or arts enthusiast living in Dorchester or the surrounding area, you can become an associate member of the Dorchester Arts Forum.
Dorchester Arts Forum membership is FREE.

Booking Equipment

How do I book the equipment?
Send an email using the online inquiry form or call Irene Archibald at Dorchester Arts Centre on 01305 266926.
The equipment is stored at Dorchester Arts Centre and needs to be collected from and returned to the Arts Centre. Payment is to Dorchester Arts Forum by cheque only.
Can I get technical help?
A technician will talk you through the set-up and help you to decide what equipment you need, and could also be available to run the equipment for a pre-arranged fee.
