FOLK / ROOTS / ACOUSTIC Julie Fowlis + Lou Brown DORCHESTER CORN EXCHANGE Doors 7.30pm / Support
performance starts 8pm • £14 in advance / £16 on door
Julie is a super-talented singer and instrumentalist from Scotland, she sings in Scots Gaelic and is an accomplished musician – playing highlands bagpipes, whistles and oboe.

BOROUGH GARDENS HOUSE • 10am-4pm • FREE
On Friday and Saturday, come and help the Dorchester Stitchers create a wall hanging based on the ‘Colours of Africa’. All ages welcome - no experience necessary.

THE THOMAS HARDY SOCIETY
The Countryside in May - DORSET COUNTY MUSEUM 7.30pm (Doors 7pm) • £10 /£8 Thomas Hardy Society members (includes glass of wine) Not just poetry, it is about celebrating the coming of spring. Some readings are accompanied by Colin Thompson on the violin.

OPEN09 Exhibition: Second Dorchester Arts Centre Open showing paintings, prints and other mixed media.
Sing! Bang! Bop! Create an all singing, dancing and drumming performance in a day. Sunday 10 - 3pm followed by rehearsal and performance

GET YOUR SKATES ON !
Skatepark - meet from 12.00noon for 1.30 start
Procession, led by Nick Crump and his Recycled Band, includes banners from community workshops led by artist Tess Dickson of Bridport TLC. Parade leaves Skatepark at 1.30, going up South Street to the Town Pump. Those taking part include: Friendship Club, Dorset People First, Dorchester Community Choir, students from Dorchester Middle and Manor Park First Schools, young mums from Dorchester Youth and Community Centre, skateboarders and more. D.J. Crux starts the move and continues after the Parade. Come, groove and Move!!!

PERFORMANCE: DORCHESTER CORN EXCHANGE • 7.30pm (Doors 7pm) • £5 / £3 under 18s (Please book) Calling budding singers, drummers and dancers of all ages and abilities! Come and join Dorchester Arts Centre Community day workshop, rehearse in the afternoon and perform in the evening in singing, drumming and dancing

GHOST WALK WITH ALISTAIR CHISHOLM

Walk lasts approx one and a half hour.
